In celebration of National Arts Month, the University of Cabuyao (Pamantasan ng Cabuyao) held ArtsFest 2026, a two-day celebration of creativity and culture themed โ€ Facilitated by the Arts and Culture Affairs (ACA), the event took place on March 4โ€“5, 2026, gathering students and university personnel in a vibrant showcase of artistic expression.

The festival officially opened on March 4, 2026, with an opening ceremony attended by members of the university community and honored guests. The program was graced by Hon. City MAYOR Dennis DENHA Hain, who joined the celebration highlighting the importance of arts and culture in fostering creativity and community pride.

A key highlight of the opening ceremony was the ribbon-cutting of the ArtsFest exhibit, which featured student artworks reflecting the festivalโ€™s theme of gratitude and pride. The program also marked the official introduction of ๐™€๐™ฉ๐™ค๐™ , the universityโ€™s new mascot symbolizing the vibrant spirit and unity of the Dangal community. The mascot is named after the universityโ€™s founder, former Cabuyao City Mayor Hon. Proceso โ€œEtokโ€ Aguillo, in honor of his legacy and service to the university and the city.

On Day 2, student talents took center stage through competitions that showcased creativity across various art forms. The Cosplay Competition, facilitated by the Dangal Sining Tanghalan (DST), featured participants bringing characters to life through detailed costumes and performances. Meanwhile, the Short Film Contest, organized by PNC Lente, highlighted original student films that demonstrated storytelling, creativity, and cinematic skill.

The festival concluded with an awarding and closing ceremony, recognizing the outstanding participants and winners. The celebration was further enlivened by performances from the universityโ€™s performing groupsโ€”the Dangal Singing Ambassadors (DSA), Indak Dangal Dance Company (IDDC), and Dangal Sining Tanghalan (DST).

ArtsFest 2026 successfully brought the university community together in a meaningful celebration of art, culture, and gratitude, reflecting the spirit of
