On February 19, 2026, the University of Cabuyao (Pamantasan ng Cabuyao) formalized its partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office IV-A and the Cabuyao City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program at PNC Gym 1. The ceremony marked a significant step in strengthening collaboration among the academe, national government, and local government in advancing educational support initiatives.
The Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program is a flagship initiative of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) that seeks to support college students from low-income families by providing them with meaningful opportunities to serve as tutors while receiving financial assistance.
The event was attended by students, university officials, faculty members, and representatives from the City Government of Cabuyao, led by Hon. City MAYOR Dennis DENHA Hain, who expressed strong support for programs that uplift both learners and student volunteers.
Through this collaboration, the University of Cabuyao, DSWD Field Office IV-A, and the Cabuyao City Social Welfare and Development Office reaffirm their shared commitment to empowering students, strengthening communities, and promoting active participation in nation-building through education.
